Bonjour! Did you enjoy the summer Olympics in Paris? What an impressive showing of athletes representing the US (especially the DMV)! It's been fun to watch the incredible races and competitions, the hilarious memes, and celebrity fans like Snoop Dogg! Did you hear the newest Summer Olympics song? Can't wait for the Games in LA!

If you can't get enough of amazing athletes, the NFL pre-season is under way. Start watching and prepping for your fantasy football league. And check your mailbox for your Ravens football schedule. Let's go, Ravens!  

We've had some intense storms recently with lots of wind and rain. This is a great reminder to check on your gutters and downspouts. Are your downspouts attached to discharge away from the house? It may seem tedious, but you can prevent leaks into your house (along with huge headaches) by taking a quick look at this important system. 

Owning a home requires maintenance and sometimes even replacement. When we purchased our home, the HVAC unit was 9 years old and we knew that one day we would need to replace the furnace and AC, which is now 26 years old. Well, our AC started leaking on our utility room/laundry floor, and it's now time to consider a replacement. HVAC units are more efficient now, and there are still rebates on HVAC units, especially heat pumps, plus additional tax credits.
