It's finally spring! The time of year I start thinking about cleaning, eating vegetables, and getting outdoors. It's also the time that I like to do some maintenance/preventative care around the house.
If you live in the County and have a septic system, have you scheduled to pump your septic tank or system? Depending on the number of people in your household, it is recommended to pump the tank every 2-5 years. AND please don't flush those "septic safe or flushable wipes" as they do not break down and can damage your septic system.
If you're on public sewer, did you know the municipal government can help you with clearing the sewer line at the county connection? They also take care of things like repairing potholes, filling in gaps of asphalt between the street and driveway apron, removing abandoned vehicles, and replacing street lights. Contact your local government for help before an annoyance becomes a problem.

When was the last time you tested your home for radon? I test my system every few years to ensure my radon mitigation system is doing its job. A radon mitigation system extracts radon from the lowest level or foundation of the home. You can purchase a home test kit at Home Depot, Lowes or Amazon. You'll run the test for at least 48 hours in a "closed" condition (come and go, but keep all windows and doors closed) and then mail the test to the lab to be analyzed.
Let's Go, Os!!!
